Ghost Hand (幽霊の手) is an iOS photo editing app that transforms ordinary photos into chilling paranormal scenes — perfect for pranks and fun. Users can add over 30 realistic ghost stickers and images to their photos. Built natively in Swift, the app was developed and approved on the App Store in just 2 months.
The client needed a high-quality native iOS app built in a short timeframe with Apple Merchant SaaS subscription integration. Additionally, the app had to be fully bilingual (Japanese and English) and pass Apple's strict App Store review guidelines.
Adopted native iOS development with Swift for optimal performance and user experience. Built an optimized UI supporting both iPhone and iPad.
Implemented a SaaS subscription model using StoreKit 2. Integrated monthly/yearly plan management, free trials, and auto-renewal functionality.
Leveraged iOS standard localization features to implement full Japanese and English bilingual support with automatic language switching based on device settings.
Created 30+ realistic ghost stickers and effects. Designed an intuitive UI/UX allowing position adjustment, resizing, rotation, and opacity control.
Designed for full compliance with Apple's guidelines. Properly implemented privacy policy, terms of service, and subscription display rules to achieve first-submission approval.
This case study demonstrates rapid, high-quality iOS app development using Swift native technology. The successful integration of an Apple Merchant SaaS subscription model, bilingual support, and first-submission App Store approval prove our technical expertise and experience in iOS development. Despite the short 2-month timeline, the app achieved a perfect 5.0 user satisfaction rating.
